Overview

ADAS is seeking Seasonal Ecologists to join our highly skilled ecology team. These are fixed-term contract positions for the busy spring and summer period of six months to start in March/April with the potential to extend into a permanent position for the right candidates.

We are seeking Seasonal Ecologists to be based at the following locations: Boxworth (Cambridge), South East (South East to be home based around the West Sussex / East Essex / Kent borders), Wolverhampton, Leeds, Wigan, Bristol, Wales.

These roles are full of variety and our Ecology business comprises a highly skilled team focused on providing services to a wide range of clients, particularly developers, utility companies and the renewable energy and rural industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of ecological surveys (skills dependent) and assist senior colleagues with other surveys to develop skill set
  • Carry out desk studies, consultations, research, data management and analysis, and report writing
  • Deliver work as efficiently as possible in order to meet agreed timescales and quality standards

Person Specification

  • Enthusiastic individual keen to develop an ecology career
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle* 
  • Someone open to flexible working with regard to type of work, timing and location with night and weekend working as and when required
  • Experience with European Protected Species survey work (not essential)

Salary and Benefits

  • £21,673.60 per annum (full-time equivalent) plus a £1,000 performance related bonus on completion of the contract period
